The Schedule of the Janggi Clash Online Series

 Initiated by Uwe Frischmuth of the German Janggi Federation and co-organized by Otgonbat Ishdagva of the Mongolia Janggi Federation, we have successfully concluded the first international online Janggi tournament. Eight enthusiastic and highly skilled players represented six countries across three continents: Germany, France, Poland, Georgia, Mongolia, and the United States of America.

During the 7th Janggi World Championship held in Hamburg, Germany, from October 24 to 28, 2025, we discussed the importance of promoting the beautiful game of Janggi beyond Korea. Our goal was to establish regular, official-style online tournaments and events to support the international growth of the game.

The newly founded “World Janggi Promotion Committee” has now successfully realized its first event. The tournament showcased impressive tactical and combinational play on the PyJanggi platform. We sincerely appreciate the players’ determination and patience, especially as we encountered minor technical issues, including a website bug.

The tournament began with eight players and concluded after six rounds.

Final Results:

1. Jeremie Schertzer (France) – 6 points

2. Nachinbayar Samdanjamts (Mongolia) – 3.5 points

3. Otgonbat Ishdgva (Mongolia) – 3.5 points

The WJPC is going to organize the international online janggi tournament monthly between February 2026 and September 2026. In order to make this event more exciting and successful, we expect that all of you as janggi enthusiasts and players would participate and support this initiation. For this to happen, we are open to receive any comments and feedbacks from all of you.
